Witches' Pyramid

5 Elements, 5 Directions, 5 Cornerstones.

The Witches' Pyramid consists of the four earth elements that coincide with the four cardinal directions. Each of these elements present characteristics that make up the base of the pyramid. At the top is Spirit which gathers and defines the four base pillars.

Air - Air is typically invocated from the East. It represents knowledge, mental processes, high consciousness, ideas, and wisdom.
To Know: This is the first step of the pyramid. It means to strive to know as much as you possibly can in your life and to use that knowledge in your every day life. Further, it means to recognize and search for the truth, even if it goes against what you priorly believed in. Remember that there is always more out there to learn.
Water: Water is invocated from the West. (When invoking, Fire is called before water, but for the pyramid, Dare comes before Will, so I swapped them. I hope there's no confusion over this.) It represents the subconscious mind, emotions, intuition, religion, and love.
To Dare: This is the step of taking your knowledge and having the courage to do your work and all that you do. You need to believe in yourself, in the universe, and in your own abilities. Trust in your own power and apply that into what you're doing.
Fire: Fire is invocated from the South. It represents passion, vivacity, physical and spiritual power, energy, and lust.
To Will: This is the step of focusing your thoughts and visualizing what you want and how you'll get it. It means to have the self-motivation and force to follow your dreams and overcome obstacles. In other words it's wanting something until you acheive it. As it's been said, you can't let life pass you by.
Earth: Earth is invocated from the North. It represents trust, stability, economic gain, abundance, prosperity, and wisdom in practical knowledge.
To Be Silent: This is by far the most important, yet most difficult especially for new practitioners. It is the action of keeping spellwork and rituals solely to yourself or your coven. In other words, what happens in the circle stays in the circle. Don't let your magic be dampened by others' negative influences. Skepticism, trepidation, fear, jealousy and envy are such influences that can hinder magic. Remember power shared is power lost. Also a common saying is do not throw pearls to bad swine. Meaning don't give your good information to bad people.
Spirit: Spirit is the fifth and final element. Some Wiccans don't believe in the additional fifth element; again it's about personal choice. But Spirit is invocated from the Center, meaning from inside you. It ties together the four other elements in a perfect balance, and represents overall love and spiritual belief.
To Go: To Go is to master all four of the base pillars and use them in your life to effect you and others in a positive light; and to overall help others. This step brings ultimate meaning to the witches' oath of service.
